MHE Services is a leading training provider based in Barnsley, located near Sheffield, Wakefield and Rotherham. We have been delivering high-quality training to the Yorkshire and Humberside area for over 20 years.
From forklift training to first aid training, and everything in-between. We ensure that employees feel empowered and above all safe when in their working environment. We aim to be flexible where possible for our customers and use our own employed instructors for all of courses. Something that not many training centre’s can guarantee.

Rob Burnett
Managing Director | Material Handling Instructor
Rob formed the company with Dave back in 2017. Since starting his career as a forklift instructor, he has continued to develop and is now able to teach on over 30 types & variants of material handling equipment. Additional to being a forklift instructor, he has also qualifications in teaching various non material handling equipment courses.
Away from MHE Services, he's the Father of two children (and a dog) and enjoys spending time with family. Additional to this, he has a passion for Dungeons and Dragons, running & gaming.
Laura Burnett
Director | Previous Health & Safety Instructor
Laura joined MHE Services in 2018, with her main duties being the development of the company and customer services. Without Laura's effort into the company, MHE services wouldn't be what it is today.
Having previously being the first point of contact for our customers, Laura now helps with the running of the business in the background.
Laura now has utilised her skill in business to make another company called 'IT Moon' that specialise in Social Media content, Automation & Email Marketing.
Dave Burnett
Director | Retired Material Handling Instructor
Dave the founder of MHE Services has been delivering forklift training for over 20 years. He has become a well-known instructor in the industry and has the ability to deliver training on other 30 different types & variants of material handling equipment. An expert in his field, who has dealt with every scenario possible when it comes to material handling equipment.
Now into his retirement age, Dave no longer provides training, but still puts efforts into aiding the company with his knowledge and time.
His passion away from MHE Services is having time with his family.
Tim Berry
Material Handling Instructor
Tim joined the team June 2023 having previously worked in various workplaces with Forklifts. He became an instructor back in spring 2023, joining us soon after. Tim has become a great instructor for MHE Services thanks to his down to earth attitude & ability to adapt & learn new

Julie Albrighton
Operations Co-Ordinator
Julie joined us near the end of 2021 as our Operations Co-Ordinator (posh way of saying course organiser). She has vast experience & knowledge in customer service and is an asset to our team. Any enquiries with us will be dealt with by Julie, whether it's over the phone, email or through the website.
Julie moved to Sunny Spain during covid-19 and operates from her office over there. Her knowledge in material handling equipment training is constantly growing and she constantly shows efforts to help grow the company. An important asset to our team!
